HELP BACODA SAVE LIVES
BACODA presents a
Healing Field®: A Memorial
THE PERSON YOU HELP SAVE MAY BE YOUR FAMILY, A FRIEND, OR YOURSELF!
More than 1,600 lives were lost in 2006 to drunk driving in Texas. It doesn’t have to be this way. We can change it – together!
BACODA, the Bay Area Council on Drugs & Alcohol is an organization with a mission to help individuals, families and communities stop alcohol and drug abuse.
BACODA is organizing a Healing Field® event, a visual, temporary memorial for Texan drunk driving fatalities of one year. Acres of red, white and blue, 3’x5’ American Flags will stand 8’ tall for seven days to commemorate the lives lost, and create awareness for the enormity of the problem. One Flag – One Life.
The Event – Texas Healing Field® Memorial:
- Date: November 17-21, 2008 [Prepare Field 11/17/2008 and take down Field 11/21/2008]
- Place: Walter Hall Park
Hundreds of volunteers are needed to ready the field, construct and erect the flags, work during the event, disassemble the field at the end of the memorial and more.
