Donate - Volunteer

If you want to give back to the community, then a United Way agency is the way to go. All of BACODA's dedicated departments welcome a volunteer.

In 1974, concerned citizens of Clear Lake and Galveston started BACODA to assist the public in finding help for alcoholism and drug abuse. Today’s mission is to provide the leadership and clinical expertise to prevent our children from using drugs and gambling, to help people who are addicted recover and to protect our families and communities from the dangers of addiction.

A team made up of a Board of Directors, trained staff, volunteers, Board Committee members, fund raisers and guest speakers work to accomplish this mission and address the needs of individuals, families and communities trying to prevent substance abuse & minors use of alcohol, drugs or gambling and dealing with addiction.

BACODA values its volunteers and we realize volunteers have a limited amount of time, so we have a Volunteer Application that places our volunteers where they need to be to feel the positive influence they make on our organization and with our clients. Opportunities to join this team and to be apart of the solution include:

We are also interested in your ideas of how you can volunteer your time and resources. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Sue Roberts, or call 281-212-2900. Or, if you prefer, you may also download our brochure, fill out the detachable portion, and return it to our Clear Lake office.
